Thakursai and Pawna Lake Camping at Thakursai Village

Thakursai, a village in the Maval taluka of Pune District in the state of Maharashtra, 65km away from the hustling and noisy city, and 12km from Maval and 92km from the Busy Mumbai is a village untouched by the noise and air pollution with fresh air to breathe in and beautiful surroundings to look at. Situated on the banks of Pawna Lake, the famous forts of Tung Tikona, Lohagad, and Visapur are close to Thakursai.

So if you go on a night out camping at Pawna Lake camping you can wake up early in the morning and start climbing any one of the forts as all are equally beautiful and close to the Lake. As you look down from the top of the fort you will see the lake spread across the area and the mesmerising view that the fort displays is worth the efforts.

When to visit?
Pawna Lake Camping is for the rainy and the winter season where in rainy season you can enjoy the view of the sparkling waterfalls and the lush greenery on each and every side, and in winter you can enjoy the cold and romantic weather with your dear ones sitting beside the campfire, soaking in its warmth in that harsh winter cold, singing the picnic songs and enjoying a delicious and hot served dinner.
